Description

Stipe up to 17 cm long, articulated towards its mid-length. Lamina up to 39 x 18 cm, lanceolate in outline, pinnate, with about 25 divisions on each side of the rachis, lower pinnae spreading at right angles or even deflected; pinnae up to 9.5 x 2.2 cm, oblong-lanceolate in outline, acute at the base or forming a right angle there, not covering the rachis there, acuminate - caudates at the top, presenting on each side about 25 teeth, these asymmetrical; lateral veins emitting on each side about 3-5 nerves, of which the lower one is acroscopic and starts from the base of the vein. Sori usually 5 per lateral vein, located at the apices of the nerves.

Notes

Can be distinguished from other species by a stipe > 2cm, pinnae that are toothed but not pinnatifid, 5 sori on the lateral veins.

Habitat

Epiphyte on trees along streams in equatorial forest, from 800 to 950 m altitude.
